Tucked away from the main street, this place quietly became one of our favourite weekend stays — friendly staff, generous breakfasts and a courtyard built for slow mornings.
There are hotels you book for the price, and there are hotels you remember. This one quietly tipped into the second category about an hour after check-in, when the front-of-house team noticed we were celebrating an anniversary and quietly upgraded the room.
Breakfast runs a little longer than most — and that suits the vibe. Guests linger, the espresso is genuinely good, and the courtyard fills with sunlight by mid-morning. If you're putting a weekend together for friends or family visiting the city, this is a safe recommendation.
Tip from the owners: book a corner room on the third floor if you can. The view across the rooftops to the river is the best in the building.
